About us

My name is Renalson Pervil, an 18-year-old entrepreneur from the beautiful island of Grand Turk in the Turks and Caicos. Fashion has always been more than just clothing to me—it’s a form of expression, a way to tell stories without speaking. My passion for fashion took root during my time at HJ Robinson High, where I first discovered the world of textile design and manipulation. For two years, I immersed myself in art classes, learning techniques like tie-dye, batik, and screen printing, which opened my eyes to the endless creative possibilities in fashion.

I graduated high school with the highest grade in my art class, which was a proud moment for me. But even then, I knew I didn’t want to stop there. I wanted to do something more, something that reflected my love for fashion and my pride in the place I call home. That’s how the idea for TurksMade was born—a brand that would represent not only my style but the culture and spirit of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Turks and Caicos has no fashion brand known around the world, and that’s where I saw an opportunity. I wanted to create something unique that would resonate not just locally but globally. However, starting a brand from scratch, especially in a place where manufacturing is limited, wasn’t easy. The early days were tough. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed and wanted to give up. But I was lucky to have a strong support system—friends who believed in my dreams and kept pushing me forward.

One of the most pivotal moments in my journey was meeting Hubert Prospere, my best friend’s uncle. Hubert is deeply involved in fashion, and when I reached out to him, he didn’t hesitate to offer his guidance. His advice and encouragement were like fuel to my fire. I knew from that moment I couldn’t let him down, and more importantly, I couldn’t let myself down.

The journey to build TurksMade has been full of challenges, especially when it comes to finding manufacturers overseas. But I’ve learned that with every setback comes an opportunity to grow, and I’m more determined than ever to make TurksMade a brand that represents not only the creative vision I have but also the culture, strength, and beauty of my home.

My mission is simple: to make TurksMade a name recognized worldwide—a symbol of what’s possible when passion, creativity, and perseverance come together. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to share this journey with all of you.
